Dilu, Deba & Prema
They are near-contemporaries of mine in my village Chandura being junior to me by some years. because of my alinietion I find it increasingly difficult to place the young and very young people of my village.
These people are sitting in fron of the village temple on a 'Pindi" which is likely to be dismantled soon when the adjoining road is broadened under Pradhan Mantri Sadak Yojna.
Naba Bhai
Naba Bhai is a couple of years senior and has been a regular feature on my village road for the last 4 decades. He had a Govt. job in Jagatsinghpur and used Chandura Canal Road to travel to job and come back. He loved flashy cycles and was one of the few to use a moped in our area nearly two decades ago. he was one of the persons who used to return back to his native place in Patenigaon the last almost at or after 10 PM evertday. Has retired for nearly 8 years Naba Bhai remains as buoyant and travels the same way but as age is catching up, he prefers to return back from the market before the sun set.

Anadi Charan Naik.
He is my immediate neighbour in my native village Chandura and a real contemporary. We were brought up in the same community in near similar conditions. He studied a class junior to myself and I met him after a long gap in Biramitrapur when I was posted in Purunapani Mines Hospital in early eighties. He was working at Biramitrapur Veterinary Hospital as an assistant. Some 12 years back he got transferred to Jagatsinghpur where he was a big draw among local farmers as an inseminator for their cows. Though he superannuated 6 months back he still remains popular and goes on carrying the job for a fee. A modest man Anadi remains a good childhood friend to me.
