Gopia Bhai passes away

Died 31st August 2015
He was the last icon of our earlier generation. During my childhood days, he used to work in Kolkata. Later he shifted to the village and had many ideas to have common developmental plans for all the villagers. Hale and hearty till 6 months back, he fell sick in the early parts of 2015. When I visited the village in April 2015, I didn;t expect him to be living till the end of August. The youngest of his sons, Sukanta with his wife and daughter were taking extremely good care of him with support from Gendua who used to frequently visit him from Cuttack and Jhatua from Rourkela. Chhaya had left him long back and he loved to live in the village where Sukanta and his wife took care of every need of him. Dedication of Gopia Bhai's children may be an example for many others to follow.
May his soul rest in peace and may God help his relations to cope with the loss.

My 'Maain' passes away

She has been confined to bed for last 3 months.Last three days and nights she was taking the names of Lord Rama and Lord Krishna incessantly and breathed her last yesterday night. A great soul, I only fondly remember her love for us so very evident during my childhood days when I used to visit her house during summer vacation. May her soul remain in peace and May Swami help Arakhita Bhai and Elabanta and their families to come out of the grief and live happily. My regards to her.
